NIRAI-KANAI OKINAWAN RESTAURANT |
| |
The place oozes Japanese culture, from the friendly welcome greetings from all the staff to rustic wooden furniture to the Japanese posters and scrolls, which plaster the wood-paneled walls. There is a main dining area, counter/bar-style dining and a smoking section available. For some privacy and added authenticity, request for the Tatami rooms, which are individual rooms with traditional-style floor level seating. Don’t forget to sample the different varieties of Awamori – the Okinawan’s secret to longevity, sort of an oriental version of the French Paradox. An interesting blend of Tumeric Tea is also available to help detoxify the body.
